🚨 COLD CALLERS IN HINDLEY & HINDLEY GREEN 🚨

We have received reports of cold callers operating in the Hindley and Hindley Green area.

Please be vigilant when answering your door and remember:

✅ Always ask to see identification.
✅ Check ID carefully and do not feel pressured into making a decision on the doorstep.
✅ Consider setting up a password scheme with trusted companies or service providers before any visit.
✅ If you are expecting a caller, ask them to provide the agreed password before allowing them access.
✅ Never hand over money or personal information to anyone you are unsure about.
✅ If in doubt, keep the door closed and contact the company directly using a trusted phone number.

Please look out for elderly or vulnerable neighbours and family members who may be targeted by rogue traders or doorstep callers.

If you see anything suspicious or have concerns about callers in your area, please report it to Greater Manchester Police via 101, or always call 999 in an emergency.
